I am standing on mine. Do you think they can conservative away the spots? Those are corrosion spots and not toning correct? I am almost positive it's that black carbon spot kind of corrosion.

I have to think they developed after the coin was graded, I just can't see them giving an MS67 30 years ago with that really large carbon spot. They aren't that bad in hand so I figured I would just send it in an cash in on the obvious full steps thinking that a downgrade was merely a remote possibility.

Back then, they used the FS designation which equalled full steps, but for some reason, this 6 full step coin didn't garner the designation.

They could remove the spots by dipping the coin, but that would also eliminate the toning which is incredible. Plus they charge $25 extra for that so that is out.
