I love my 1795 dollar below. Today I received the newest Heritage auction in my email that includes the 1795 half dollar and 1795 half dime below. I think they would make perfect accompaniments to my dollar and I figure I'll need about $12,000.00 to win them both. I am only $11,995.00 shy of my goal!;)..... But man, wouldn't that make a striking set?

Given the way Heritage Auctions go (I know from current and past experience), you might do better if you were to attend a major show.

Believe it or not, the 1795 half dime is the most common date in the early half dime series, which runs from 1792 to 1805. The coin frequently shows up at the major shows in a variety of conditions.

The 1795 half dollar is also somewhat common. I have handled four of them in my time as a collector and dealer. I bought one at a show at a then premium price of $1,500 for one in VG and sold it to a collector before the show was over.

I have mounted an exhibit of the 1795 coins twice. It is a far easier set to do than the 1796 set, which almost impossible unless you have "unlimited" funds. Since these exhibits sort of "go to heaven" once I have displayed them, here are some "thumbnail" photos of it. Sorry, these shots were taken without the coins.

@Randy Abercrombie your $1 is a sweet coin. The others would certainly make a nice looking set.

I looked for your Go Fund Me so I could put in my 2 cents, but couldn't find it. ;)

I like the Dime more than the half dollar but both are extremely nice looking. I didn’t go to your fund me website because of being a collector myself. I couldn’t help but think that if I donate to you, I would always own a piece of that coin and you wouldn’t like that. Sorry my friend but I think you understand.

If we were to loan you the needed funds and the term being say, 8-10 years, what sort of collateral can you offer?
