A though find for me, FS example....the steps on this issue are consistently awful. The lines actually make it across the middle...normally that area is mush on a 1999P. Got lucky that is was in such nice condition too!
As I recall, 1999 was supposed to be the big year for the mint - they claimed errors would be totally eliminated with the newest machines and procedures in place. I have not seen many error cents from 99 - I'd be interested in seeing any that other members might have from 1999.
Just a minor greaser from 1999, some stuff escaped! I liked the look and color of it so kept it.....found searching.
One of the "holy grails" for any roll searcher! I found this in a friends change and he gave it to me.....a friend indeed!
Another cherrypick from the wild, the hair on this coin is excellent and it has FS. This issue is known for weak obv strikes that flatten the highest relief points in the hair.
Cool. My brother and I go to lunch together alot. Whenever we use his vehicle, I go through all the change in his cup holder. If I find something I want to keep, he makes me pay for it. So far he has been satisfied with face value.
Another issue that has proved very pesky at finding a FS example. This coin is hammered on fresh dies.
How can a plated coin look MPL? This coin caught my eye immediately....bizarre! Frosty fields of small zinc bubbles?
Very, VERY minor distraction in the field. I am not sure any one thing kept it at 66. There are just a couple nicks, a couple tiny darker areas, and not quite enough luster to make up for them?
