Nice! That's a heck of a "clipped planchet error" or as Ed calls it, "Incomplete Planchet error". More like 40 cents there, no?

I really have an affection for Half Dollars. I have no photos of the other Half Dollars but I could easily make a type set of them. Lol

Here is an 1843 made from a shattered die.

 

Key date with scarce reverse struck with damaged die.

 

My local bank just received some Kennedy half dollars. I went through them and was able to almost fill 2 books and also keep some of the nicer coins.. Pretty happy!
