[CLOSED] LordM Giveaway #96 (pick your prize)

I’d like to be entered into your drawing for Lot #4, primarily because there is a part of my brain that believes at some point in my journey I’ll go on an epic quest for which need a bag of tiny coins to pay people along the way (think more fantasy and bribing elves or forest spirits or something like that.)

I don’t know where this belief comes from, but it does mean I have built up a tiny hoard of three pence or smaller silver (think Canadian five cent silvers) for said quest. I don’t have a gold fanam yet, but I have a feeling it would get along just fine amongst the horde…

Thanks. Sorry for the delay in responding, but we just did a beach trip. We really don't know what Daisy is (other than a pound puppy). My wife thinks of her as a mini-lab; she has a very sweet disposition.

 

Just got back a week at the beach with the family; I know that because my ankle and wrist have new decorations and my stomach more than a few extra pounds. A friend took care of the critters for us. Tye Dye has grown a bit and her colors are blending a bit more, but she is still just too cute.

I'm in! Lot #1 is appealing to me. I do not yet have a Roman bronze, and my small ancient collection is largely focused on coins that tie in to Biblical history in some way.

According to Suetonius and the book of Acts, Claudius either expelled the Jews (and Christians who were viewed as a Jewish sect) from Rome, or banned them from assembling due to disputes between the Christians and the Jews. It seems this was short lived, and was likely done to keep the peace and not out of hostility.

 

If I’m lucky to win ANOTHER CoinTalk giveaway as I had a while back ago, I’d like to own lot #7 as it would be a perfect Lincoln example for my planned certified box of 20

I would love lot 4! I give talks to older folks at retirement homes about the stories behind numismatics, and I feel that piece would be a great one to tell them about!
