It's Wednesday and to celebrate, post your favorite Washington coin from your collection. This is my favorite in my collection. A 1943 "raw" Washington quarter. Look at the colored tones (better in hand).
My metal detected Silver Washingtons 2 on the bottom have severe environmental exposure toning or fire damage.
I don't really have a favorite but this is the last silver I got in change (2015 I think). It has an odd busted up mint mark.
Here is a Washington Before Boston medal in copper that was struck from the original dies. Congress voted to award a gold metal to Washington in the spring of 1776 after he chased the British out of Boston. NOTE: This was BEFORE Congress voted for independence.
I posted this this morning. Looking through friend’s grandfather’s coins. This one really surprised me.
