Seems like honest wear, but unsure if the deeper hits or rim bump would prevent it from straight grading? https://www.ebay.com/itm/166217884092?
It might but vg or f at best... but I wouldn't pay 4500 for it though that is list for a VG 93s... Then again I settled for a 93o in f12 for my date set, just as rare but a lot less sticker shock
To many questionable issues for me. Does not do well in the eye appeal area either. At the asking price I would do more shopping. Good luck.
No. It was cracked out of a PCGS VG details holder because of the rim damage. 1893 S MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR PCGS VG DETAILS RARE KEY DATE COIN - MINOR RIM BUMPS | eBay
I was going to say that the rims look like they may have been filed. I don't think that will grade the second time around. It is good to know that it is genuine, however.
This seller has been making money selling problem coins for years. He buys graded problem coins, cracks them out, uses questionable photography effects and flat out lies to the customer base. He used to be known as Canyon City Coins. He once bought a lot. of PCGS graded questionable color Indian Cents from Rick Snow, cracked them out, and proceeded to tell this story about how he broke into a original roll, then imaged them next to an open roll. Stay away from this seller. Nothing about him is legit!
Not fond of EBay questions. I gather it's a raw 93-S on the Bay, so it probably won't straight grade.
Looks like he's super-aggressive about challenging and erasing any negative or neutral feedback, too. There's a lot of money to be made if you start with bargain-basement ethics.
