I parted with my decent denarius earlier this year since I had gotten those two Tets., which I prefer.

I find it hard to part with any of my coins. Even my"grot" tub to put on ebay is gathering dust.

Doesn't bother me too much. I usually do "one comes in, one goes out" system unless it's special via the reverse or random like a provincial.

These tets are different since one is Alexandria and other is Antioch and I didn't feel the need to keep the denarius since it was rome.

For me the system helps me get other coins I would like to have or to put towards higher $ ones.

We have seen several Vespasian tetradrachms of Alexandria. I have none. This is from Antioch with gamma where Mat's has delta.

I thought the same. Had I the money to spend I would've given you a run for it Pish. Very nice pick there.

Very nice obverse portrait, especially the large bust. Not overly smoothed, and full legends too! A lot of Vespasian's portraits can be quirky and not all that artistic, but this one's a keeper. Good acquisition!

Lovely example Pish! If I collected bronze, that would be the type of coin I would go after.

Here my denarius with Aequitas. Struck around the same time as your As.

Wow, that portrait is almost photographic. Did he really say "Oh, I think I am becoming a god" or did it come from a play?

It comes from Suetonius, so who knows if it is true or not! Regardless, it makes a nice epitaph.

Ah! I had read it somewhere, Mary Beard I think. I couldn't find the reference afterwards.
