Whoopee! I *finally* pulled a Wide AM variety from roll searching. July 4th, 1:23 PM CST. Hoorah! A 1998 Lincoln WAM. FS-01-1998-901 in the Cherry Picker’s Guide. Looks like a BU/AU “slider.” First impression of grade is either MS63 or AU58. Gonna have to scrutinize it further. What a nice memory to make on our nation’s birthday. Here are the pics…
Yep. Good find, congratulations. The coin is showing evidence of wear: excessive contact marks and scuffs in the fields, so ballpark grade is less than MS60. The weak areas in the hair (flattening) and the lower coat lapel is by weak strike (imo). And the split plating above the E/AMERICA will detract, hopefully it is isolated. This is why you provide full images of both sides when you post. …Spark
Thanks. I concur after studying it more closely under a 10x loupe. I did upload full image pics of both sides. Did you not see them all?
I see all pics now. Don’t know what happened earlier. Hard to see split-plating from the full view sometimes, so close-ups help a lot. Split plating can be minor and isolated, but it can also be very blatant and on all devices. Once again, congrats on your find…definitely a keeper…imo…Spark
