I have a small suite of patterns in my collection. Excluding gold patterns, I am trying to get at least one pattern of each denomination of US coinage. With this little beauty I need a half cent, large cent, and nickel to complete the suite. Because of rarity and cost of patterns it will take a while to complete the suite. Also having dealers who are willing to offer lay-a-ways is a tremendous help. I've been working on this suite for about 8 years.

Realistically given the scarcity of half cent patterns this suite will probably never be completed but it won't stop me from looking.

The pattern below is J-818, PR-64 RD, Rarity 7.

For the Capped Bust Half Dime Die Marriage set. This one is the 1837 LM-1, Rarity 1. It's an upgrade for the AU-50. But it's also, I believe, a very early die state before the dies clashed and were lapped. That clash imposed a very dramatic date clash between TATE and the scroll on the reverse. I three of this variety: This one which I think is very early before the dies clashed; another with the date clash which I've shown in the third photo below; and a third which is after the dies were lapped.
