Morning one and all, I've come across this tiny Roman coin which I've had tested and can confirm that it is silver. However I'm struggling to identify the type of coin. I've included photos below. It is very small measuring only 1.7cm in diameter and weighing 2.7g. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
This was a Roman Republican silver coin which was used to trade with the Magna Graecian colonies in Southern Italy. In fact, several types were minted in the South in places like Luceria and Sicily.
This is an "anonymous"(i.e. no mintmark, symbol, magistrate name, etc) victoriatus, a later issue, Crawford 166/1
