So I have this coin (https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/6558615-006/NGCAncients/) but the reverse image photo is not from this coin. The correct reverse is this: Anyway, I click "Wrong Coin/Grade?" and it sends me to the Registry FAQ. I check the FAQ, and it tells me to go back to the coin and click "Wrong Coin/Grade?". What gives with this place? Anyone had a similar experience? On the coin page: On the FAQ:
Oh yes, I have a few, this one is fairly hilarious to me: https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/5987487-003/70/
And who could forget this one: Wrong Reverse, wrong series, wrong coin finish! https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/5987487-008/69/
Those ones are pretty crazy. Where'd those additional images come from? Never seen a NGC cert page with (what look like) additional stock US Mint images.
I have this one, an 1891 CC Morgan. Their reverse pic is of an "S" minted coin. I left a message with them to have it corrected, even gave them the other coin an 1895 S, with my reverse on it, never heard a thing or got it corrected. https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/5921150-005/62/
They'll fix them for free, call customer service and ask for a pre-paid label. Or keep them for amusement...
They may not be able to find the right image, and they don't like to make changes without the coin in-hand.
That's fair. But my main gripe is that there's no way for me to report it, since the site offers conflicting information. And I could call customer service, wait on hold, explain the problem, probably twice, but who wants to do that?
