    No. A Die break is an issue with the die. A lamination has to do with the planchet itself.

    You have not shown us the reverse. If it was a retained die break there should be an area of light or missing detail opposite the area in question. I do not think you will see this though, because it is a lamination.

    Thanks everyone. I appreciate the feedback. There is nothing remarkable about the reverse Jersey magic man, so it looks like it's a lamination. You folks are great!
