I just acquired this beautiful SLQ and was wondering what folks thought about the grade. I feel like it is an ideal candidate for the full head designation. Any thoughts and input would be appreciated.
It is a lovely example and I do believe it is worthy of the designation you pursue, but think she be ever more lovely unholdered.......just the opinion of an old one.
I don’t think I’ll submit…too much time and money and I don’t much like the entombed look. That’s why I was soliciting opinions of the forum.
Here are a couple more photos…there is the tiniest bit of wear in the breast…the rub on the thigh as mentioned before was just lighting I think .
I'm in love. Great coin. I have only sent in about 3-4 coins for grading. I like to look at coins without a glare. I have only bought 3 or 4 SLQs. They were already graded. I get my kicks looking at what you folds show us. Thanks.
I think I see an ear hole, so I think you would get a Full Head designation. If if they say it's an aU-58, you can still get a Full Head on the slab label. It's been that way for a long time, since I first became a dealer in the 1990s. This piece was called a "Full Head."
