This sucks big time. He had great information. Always gave us a headsup on things. He will be missed. Thank you ND for everything you did here.
yes we will miss ND86 but he may still be with us as a guest. have a god life ND. Cointalk will be poorer without you.
I am sure CT did not HAVE to delete his post, but being the kind people thay are, they granted his request.
No, they didn't HAVE to, and on my board I ignore such requests, for various reasons. I guess, like the book analogy, I consider it pushlished, and once published it will not be undone (beyond the 1 hour time limit for editing/deletion). While I enjoyed the advance notice, it was just info that eventually came to light from a variety of other sources. If you're reading about it in a magazine, then many people knew about it weeks or even months earlier.
and ND86 was one of those people. He did us all a great service here with his consistently accurate and timely information. I agree that our little CT world is now diminished due to his absence.
It's a shame a few bad apples couldn't leave well enough alone ... ..it's also a shame that they are still hidden among us.
I always looked forward to his comments on the U.S. Mint performance and the problems they were dealing with regarding new products at the production level, things I'm not usually taking into consideration from a consumer viewpoint.
WOW, I bet the mint told him to cease and desist on the info. It appears that he really stuck his neck out to help us. thanks ND.
He certainly will be missed. regardless of his sources, his information was always well thought out very reliable! as another member noted.. Cointalk has lost a very valuable member. Whatever the reason for leaving, we should all just respect his wishes, and pry no more as to his reason.
deleting all post by nd86 he must be discovered by a very high rank people at the mint. the reason is he gave so many inside secret to the general public. he might be fired. or suspended. or being warned. well, in reality. he should not tell us anything from the mint. it is business. just like any other business. anyway. thanks nd86 for his bravery and told us a lot about mint's products. hasta la vista. baby. p.s. now people should hear what i predict anything in the future. just kidding.
ND86. Thank you for all of your insightful posts. You are the kind of person that makes coin collecting fun. You were a true asset to this forum. Your information and insights were a true treasure. I can truly say that you helped many of us in this passion we call coin collecting. Unfortunately, not everyone shared your good nature and helpful demeanor. You may not be aware that you found many kindred spirits that shared your same passion and that passion resonated. Perhaps someday you can come back and pick up where you left off. Until then, fare thee well..friend.
It is not public domain. The screwed up copyright law, such as it is now, means nothing is public domain and that every quote here and everywhere else is illegal use of copyrighted material. Is that sick? Tell it to your congressman and have him repeal the DMCA while he's at it as well. Ruben
