It's a great find and I can understand your wanting to have it slabbed. Since it is not an incredible rarity, you should probably go with the cheapest way to do it. As far as I know, dealers send coins off to be slabbed on occasion and will submit yours along with one of their submissions, charging you the TPG (Third-Party-Grader) fee with perhaps some charge of their own. Alternatively you could just get a nice slab and encapsulate it yourself.
I think I will send the coin in to ANACS to take advantage of the deal now I have to find the other six coins to send in
If you really want it slabbed, ANACS on the cheap is likely your best best. However, digging up six other coins to send in order to get a deal could very well be like cutting off your nose to spite your face unless you happen to have six other coins, with upside, that are actually deserving. I would just hate to see you spend money, that could better be put to other uses, all to get the one coin slabbed Perhaps there is some kind and generous (and most importantly, trustworthy) soul here who would be willing to allow a young man to piggyback?
I will use those if I can't muster up 6 other coins (I have already found one to send in with the 1999)
Posting more photos of what you decide and/or your options is indeed a fine idea. As with the 99, it never hurts to get a few extra sets of eyes upon a coin/coins, especially before spending good money for even more eyes to look upon it/them. Regardless of if you can piggyback or end up submitting yourself, especially if this will be your first experience doing so, hopefully it can be made to be a positive one.
Upon further thought I have decided that sending in coins I don't want graded just to get the 1999 graded isn't worth it. So I am going to wait a bit before making a move.
Wouldn't it be nice if the TPG's had a three coin holder for the '98,'99,&00 wide AM's? I may try to sell them one.
I pulled a mint State, MS 63 from a box. It was pretty much brand new. I had it graded and slabbed through ANACS. I sold it for $130.00. Yours probably won't sell for that much. Just letting you know. Great find though! I have 2 2000 WAMs, 14 1998 WAMs also.
