Is it damage, RPM or D over S?

    I found a 1955 D with a questionable Mint Mark. I would like some feedback from my friends here at CT.

    Looks normal to me also. Just worn and hit from circulation. What are you seeing that makes you wonder?

    Inside the D there is a remnant of a letter, a die chip or damage. I just wanted some other eyes to see it. If you click on the photo it should magnify. Thanks for the feedback.
