I just started entering my coins into the NGC and PCGS Apps. Do those work for currency (I'm more into inventory management than registry reasons) ? Or are their other non-TPG apps I should consider ?
Found this thread when searching for the same question. I'm looking for a way to track my meager graded currency collection. The NGC set registry is good because I can track NGC and PCGS coins. Is there anything like that for currency?
I am not aware of anything. I created a Google Sheets spreadsheet for that purpose and it has worked great. Now I can pull up all the details of my collection from anywhere that my phone can connect to the internet. (Cited from: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/currency-apps-ngc-or-pcgs.402818/)
I created a database using Excel spreadsheet and put all the info in it. My currency collection is limited to small size US $1 bills starting with the 1928 series through the end of the 1969-D series. Most of the Federal Reserve Notes (1963 through 1969-D) are ungraded and in CU. Most of the earlier notes are graded (1928 through 1957-B) are graded. My source guides are: -- Collector's Guide to Modern Federal Reserve Notes/Series 1963-2009 by Robert Azpiazu. -- Standard Guide to Small-Sized U.S Paper Money/1928 to Date/10th Edition by John Schwartz and Scott Lindquist.
I like excel. But it would be nice to have a price guide (a la PCGS Coinfacts) that updates regularly.
Well I have been using CoinManage, and I discovered they have a paper money version called CurrencyManage. Found what I was looking for! It seems like it's a version or two behind CoinManage, but it does the trick.
