Hi All! I need help determining the value of the attached 1943 US Steel Cent Collection from the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco Mints in a Clear Plastic Case. Thanks, ToddB67
Hello Todd! I think that we would need better Pics to determine value and if they're plated or not? Thanks!
Reprocessed and sold in a set as an example, IMHO Fun to keep, but you aren't going to get coffee at StarBucks with it.
From an advertisement in a 1960's coin magazine. No legal warning or suggestion of implying of faked coins since the customer had to provide the coins to be processed. Most of the fake copper 43s came from several USA companies. But they are easy to tell. The steel cents were punched out of zinc covered grey steel sheets. So if yours have a dull gray edge it is possible original, if the edge is shiny, its replated ( details for sure). Jim
Well guys, it appears that my 1943 coin set in a plastic case are all plated, because the edges are definitely smooth and shiny, so of course not of much value. Thanks to one and all for your help! ToddB67
