Love these. On the few occasions when I see them at a show I almost always purchase them. Yours are fantastic. I have yet to come across a cast silver one.

Thanks! I love them as well. The hammer struck copper coins have the rugged character similar to cobs. Also, these coins were very plentiful back in the 60s up to the 90s when they became scarcer. The flea market in Mexico City was a prime source of these coins, along with the republic 8 reales.

1819 counterfeit shilling retaining near full silvering. The copper is exposed in the centre of the reverse
