Welcome to my 51,000 likes celebration. Here is an 1800 Half Cent. It’s worn to an F-15 buts it’s problem free. 1800 was the first year of this coin being produced. It’s a Draped Bust which was only minted for 8 years. In those 8 years a number of varieties were created.
This is the only variety for 1800 but the total mintage is a bit on the high side by the standards of that time frame. Just 202,908 were minted. There are a few scratches on the reverse but that didn’t stop me from buying her.

Not sure how you can say it is "problem free" and then mention the scratches on the reverse. I would think a TPG would mark it as damaged or graffiti.

Given the age and the minor scratches I feel it’s acceptable but I’m not sure what a TPG would do.

Problems or no problems are in the eye of the beholder. In this case the purchaser obtained the coin in the condition he could live with. I'm sure the price was in relation to the condition.

    Yes, at $30, it's not a problem.

The reverse die was a left over from the 1790s. It was not used on half cent from the 1790s, but it is style of the coins from the era. Later it was used for a short time with the rare variety of the 1802 over 0 half cent.

A later, 1804, half cent reverse. The die has a big break because this was the first reverse that was paired with the "Spiked Chin" variety. Some people think that the spiked chin was caused by a screw getting between the dies which injured the obverse.

    And a reverse from 1807
