Oh good, because you will find me posting more questions in the future. lol And don't worry...I could read everything you wrote just fine.
LOL...Gino you just about hit the nail on the head!!! When it came to his wife knowing, I think it was more about the amount he was buying. He got a bit addicted to bidding on eBay auctions and he did not like to lose. We were constantly getting packages from all over the world filled with coins. They would pile up. I had to hide them when his wife showed up. He had so many at one time, that I had to come in on a Saturday to help him open all of them and organize them in a filing cabinet. He didn't want her to see them. He was a mess, but he was a wonderful human being and I still miss working for him. I've never heard of CCA, but if they allow wine it can't be all bad. Did you get a One Month Coin from CCA?
Sounds like he enjoyed more of the hunt and the anticipation, of the arrival, of his newest victim. Sounds about right, pretty much any collector, in any area of collecting, has that mentality.
Yes...the thrill of the chase and victory of defeating the opponents. There are a lot of them. I'm going to post another one shortly.
I had that thrill at one time, but alas, I no longer have that feeling. I'm more of a "pickup something once in a while" kind of guy now. Much more discerning and focus in my collecting habits these days. But I remember fondly the thrill and the hiding acquisitions from the wife.
I think he would have gotten to the point that you are now...eventually lol. I know that he is looking down and smiling knowing that I am enjoying them and that I will be passing them along to my grown son who is showing an interest in them also.

Wow, that's really great to hear. Don't hear too much of the new generations, taking a huge interest, in coins, especially ancients.
