I will reiterate what I said to Heavy I would of been on this coin like a possum on a persimmon especially in the old soap bar slab.

It sat in the For Sale Forum here for two weeks before I even contacted him about it, and ten days more before I had the cash to buy it... :)

Well I'm glad you got it, and it found a good home! To be honest I do look at the for sale items posted here. And have purchased a few items. I've been so busy at work, and on the road that I have not had the time to do much.
I did get to hook up with a member here last Saturday at a local coin shop ,and have lunch. It was quite enjoyable .
Just got word yesterday that I'm back out again after the 4th. :( the worst part I'll be in a resort town and most probably won't see a beach.

I saw that and considered it. I liked the color. I'd have been more likely to have played in a pcgs or ngc holder tho

Well, you got your avatar coin, so it isn't like I'll ever stop being jealous of you. :)

How can you not like the old ANACS holder. I just hope it stays in it.

I find them much harder to sell even the old ones. Forget the blue or yellow. Those get broken out almost instantly and with so many collectors doing registry sets doesn't help too All my coins are in pcgs or ngc or raw. I may have one or two old Anacs that I can't seem to sell that's not worth cracking out but that's about it

It's not coming out of that holder on my watch. :)

To me, it's part of the intrinsic liquidity of the coin. I don't "invest" in coins, but all the same I consider liquidity as a factor when choosing what to buy.

I knew you'd say that. It's the "dealer Bill" in you who's speaking, not the "collector Bill", right? Actually I broke out almost all my coins in ANACS/ICG holders in order to have them slabbed by NGC so they could be added to my registry set. However, my old white ANACS coins will NOT be touched :)

By the way, here's a new one that'll be freed soon:

Is there's any reason not to break it out?

You should send that one to ICG. They grade these and slab them with the yellow "counterfeit" label. I have several and know that two counterfeit detection instructors have lots of their teaching coins in these slabs.

I was thinking about it but they don't have an office over here in Europe :-(

The only reason I can think of is, you're a genuinely sharp businessman who prefers to be perceived as an incompetent buffoon to derive advantage therein. :)

Seriously, though, as a contemporary counterfeit and a popular "variety," it deserves better than to be seen in a slab with that reputation. Have you attributed it yet? If not, let's get to work. :)

I recall someone referring to a slab with that label as a plastic clown suit. Never forgot that and to this day I LMAO every time I see one. Yeah, crack that girl out.

The collector Bill is contemplating crossing many of my ngc coins to pcgs for registry purposes. Everything in my own collection is pcgs ngc or a couple odds and ends raw. I keep very little though
