I wanted to wait for some others to chime in before me because I've grown tired of being called on the carpet for my negativity. I'll just go back to staring at the clouds and wondering what could have been. Chris
D is for Delirious I see the shadow from the first Cent due to the angle of the light on the mint mark. But nothing on the 2nd Cent.. Just some strange thing going on the field that might resemble a D.. No to RPM is my opinion.
There is no classification for "shadow D". It's a meaningless term so I would venture you may have one. It is not an RPM or OMM though.
Have a look at CONECA's latest Error Scope, 1956 D RPM-018 Extra D on Page 12. 1956-D RPM-018 Description: D&D Separated South CONECA Top 100 Grade: MS65 Rarity: Overall: URS-6 Mint State: URS-5 Markers: UVC-1099 DMR-021 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Small die gouge dot Southeast of D of GOD – MDS Small horizontal die scratch in hair at back of forehead Reverse is MDS Stage C: Obverse and Reverse are LDS Reported by: Steve Schenk
Not saying this is a RPM-018, but there is one out there with the "Shadow" of a D under the primary D......just saying
