This example has the 13th different "PCGS" cert number used for the fake MS64 1881-CC "Morgan" Morgan$'s: 2 certs are inactive, 6 are for the wrong coin series, 8 certs have images available to compare... Best, Jack.
"Off with their heads" sounds a bit extreme for these counterfeiters. . . . How about "Off with their hands"?
The image isn't good enough to scan but it's easy to tell that the barcode does not match the real slab.
Just a quick question @Jack D. Young. Do you ever sleep? Thanks for the great information, go to sleep now okay.
And he tried again this morning but chose to end the listings prior to having them removed; told a friend he bought 10 for $100 total... https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?LH_Complete=1&_fss=1&_saslop=1&_sasl=easel_man&LH_SpecificSeller=1
All I know at this point is when I do decide to add and 81 CC to my morgan set, I'm going to ask Jack to find one for me (or at least ask him to double check the one find/want lol)
If you have ever read about how the British executed people, right up until the time of George III (early 1800s), cutting off your hands was almost mild. The scene from the movie, “Brave Heart” was accurate.
I was just watching a documentary on Queen Jane Grey and how they executed her husband...brrrrrrrrrrr
And the sad part was she didn’t do anything wrong except to be used by her elders to gain power in the government. When a small tried to depose Queen Mary, that monarch reluctantly decided Lady Jane Grey had to go. Jane Grey was queen for nine days. No coins were made for her then, but fantasy pieces were made later.
