I'm a big fan of martial arts studied Wing Chun / Jeet kune do ... But I feel so bad that they're taking advantage of an icon like that and price gouging like a mofo... For the enter the dragon 5 oz coin they want $500 for it that is highway robbery and it's fine. That is $100 an ounce and definitely not worth it.. post the latest highway robbery gimmick you've seen
Unfortunately, that is pretty typical these days. The only way it will stop is if people quit buying them. I'm as much to blame because I have purchased a few items that I "had to have". What is the mintage of this one?
Yes, but I saw down in the corner if you buy it you get 998 buyer credits. Not sure what they are or worth, but if you buy this the credits are yours.
I'm thinking that a lot of the price has to do with royalties by either the family of who's on the coin or, whoever it is that owns the rights of using that image/name on the coin. I'm pretty sure in order to produce that coin for sale, the manufacturer had to first get a licensing agreement from those involved who owns the rights.
Well it’s one thing I won’t be adding to my collection, even if the mintage was limited to a small amount.
The family? HAH. How much did a deceased star's family pay lobbyists to keep getting the legal duration of copyright extended? You can bet that every spare cent of revenue is going to support poor, impoverished Warner Brothers executives.
I hear an add on Sirius XM every day for an outfit selling 2018 ASEs that were confiscated from a criminal and found in a garage in Norway. "Own a piece of history" and buy one today. What a coin and what a pedigree. Lol
What they didn't say was that they were from a secret Nazi hoard that hailed back from the invasion of Norway, involving 'time trippers'......
The crimes supposedly took place in the US. They just stored them over there in an abandoned garage. Priceless US mint artifacts now. lol
