What the important part is, that you like it! Will people critique? Good or bad! Their preference. You may not care for what others post which is fine too. I’m a Lincoln cent gal so I just love the “S”. Looks great to me!
Welcome to Coin Talk @Kenjr. Not sure what you are seeing that caused you to take notice, other than an S mint mark. Your coin is battered and bruised from rough circulation. The edges took some serious damage, which is the first thing I noticed, and then the mint mark. Keep looking and good luck.
That would be like me finding a 1912 cent when I started out collecting so I have to say it's cool for a new collector. Good catch in finding it!! BTW keep looking, that's how you find things.
The San Francisco Mint was issuing cents for circulation back then. Large numbers of them went straight to collectors’ coin albums which made producing coins with the “S” mint mark a futile gesture.
