Very questionable as to its authenticity. The reverse is so clean and natural with very little toning. I would check the PCGS bar code for authentication. Thanks for sharing.
Hard to find attractive toning on 1964 Kennedys. From what I've seen. Not a nice looking coin though. And not odd to have toning on one side of a coin stored in an old album or folder. Anyway, 99 bucks for that?! No way.
With that coin, there was a race between “environmental damage” and MS-66. For the PCGS graders, MS-66 won. For me it’s a pass, especially at that price.
Here's my ugly duckling, had to have at least one, interesting how both are similarly toned, most likely both were roll enders In a highly humid environment.
Matching numbers or not, the person(s) that passed that as an MS66 must have been smoking something. Maybe that's the ugly toning on the coin. LOL
There are some out there but they are harder to find than one would think and tend to be expensive. I had a nice one that I paid up for (likely over paid) but ended up selling in a combo deal to make room for other items.
The Kennedy linked in the original post has character...not the kind I'd want personally but it deserves to be loved as well.
