Off center strike, or wrong planchet?

Seller is calling it off center struck, but I wonder if that is correct.


With little to no experience on errors, I hope dome of our illustrious members could chime in with their opinions.

Since the 84s do not have much of a rim, I would say it’s uncentered broadstrike, but yes the pros can tell you although you are a pro sir! I corrected my terminology.

 

I'm leaning more towards an uncentered broadstrike.

 

Any pictures of the edge?
If no reeds then I also say uncentered Broadstruck.

 

Those are the sellers photos and no edge photos were included. For some reason, it just didn't/doesn't look right to me.

 

I changed to correct terminology!

 

The design is off the coin, or basically off the coin (noticeable on the reverse, K= 2:00), so I'm leaning towards off center. However, if the coin has a larger diameter than 'normal', I'd change my mind to say broadstruck.

 

Just like the "How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie center". We may never know.
