1825 coin found in backyard

    Friend found it in the backyard around Buffalo. This isn’t his first coin find in his backyard. He will gather them up and show me. Square nails too. Square nails go way back right?

    Full square nails are pre 1800's, then the rectangular nail lasted until the 1880's,
    The round wire nails started in the 1880's and have lasted till today, as they are the easiest to manufacture.

    PS square and rectangular nails have a much stronger holding power VS the round nail.
    You can still buy them, but they are quite expensive.

    Fir a coin that’s almost 200 years old, copper and in the ground, it’s in very nice condition.
