I was hoping to get some opinions on the standing liberty quarter. The auctions starting bud was set at 150$ and no one’s bid met the reserve at 300$. With the year and the grade of this coin not having met 300$ easily was concerning enough and like I said the quality of it is pretty tough to fin on this date being a FH and all. I asked if he had a scale and could send pics which all looked good. I know counterfeits have gotten better though. I was thinking he could just be really bad at taking pictures. The color of the coin looks more authentic on the scale so I think for his eBay picture he used a bad choice of lighting. Also it did its full 7 days of auction eBay without being pulled which doesn’t always happen. Can anyone give me any advice or pursuing this or not?

she's a beauty, I know I spent 300 on mine and she's cleaned.... regretably they don't put the FH designation on "detail" coins :D

Thanks for the Input I’ll see if I can’t work a fair price with him. I mean if it turns out to be fake at least I can get the return from eBay protection right? Lol

I don’t buy off of eBay and very rarely even look. But as I understand it you should be able to get EBay protection if it turns out to be fake. Best wishes.

Looks like the seller is using his weed scale to weigh it.

The scale does seem to have visible suspect remnants on it. Perhaps selling it to buy more weed.

OP coin in question looks cleaned. Note the crud in the devices. Maybe he was using the coin to scrape the weed resin off of the scale. No thanks

If I had a few more photos, I might be able to give an opinion.

So sorry, I just couldn't pass it up. I know that some times the site will repeat post photos. I'm just feeling a bit facetious today.

Nice looking coin, but you may be able to find one just as nice, already graded, for that price.

    I got
Him talked down to 200 and it’s mine if I want it but still there’s a lot going on making me question it.

What is making you question it? The back surface looks a little funky in that one picture, but I think it's legit - my concern would be that it is cleaned - as others have noted and is a "Details" coin. My AU58 Full Head, NGC slabbed purchased in the slab was purchased on eBay on a best offer that was accepted for $330. If it hasn't been cleaned / altered I think you got a terrific deal - it's an impressive strike between the full head and the really nice details on the feathers, et cetera. Probably MS but some better pictures would be helpful.
