    Hello,

I have a 3 and 5 cents fractional currency. The 5 cents looks pretty good but has black ink marks on the back, the 3 cents is just a keeper it looks like to me. Thanks for any info! CAM00248.jpg CAM00249.jpg

I don't think they'll accept them at Walmart.

What would the value of these be? I'm not going to trust what I see on Ebay just yet.

Yep, that's why it's funny... or not.

Sorry Steve, that was a joke, since you can't spend them and the usual question around here is "keep or spend".

The 5 center is a nice example even with the rear smudging. eBay is your best bet for finding current market rate for any note, in common notes like this. Look at a few in similar condition and average it out. Could be $30 or so for that 5 cent one, maybe half that for the 3 cent one. Fractional prices are sort of all over the place, real hit or miss. But the notes themselves are very common.

You keep both but look for better examples. Then sell.

No problem, I did think about trying at walmart and see what they say. Thanks for the info, I can't believe how many people in their 30's and 40's I've shown never even knew they existed. The 3 I figured wouldn't be worth it with fees and what not. The 5 is definitely a nice front display piece. I'm thinking sell as a pair, we'll see.

To me, I keep them both. If they were worth a ridiculous life changing amount of money, then I would sell. But because the value is small, it's better just to have them in your collection because they are really nice and unusual pieces. And you aren't going to need or miss the amount of money they will bring.
