just wondering if I have a circulated proof dime (I wish) or a regular P "no mint mark" 1975 dime. New to this! thanks! 1975 dime by Victoria B posted Jun 28, 2016 at 5:37 PM
Proof coins are usually denoted by a mirror field (or close), squared off edges and very sharp strike. Why do you think this would be one?
As i mentioned in my original post I am new to this and still learning, i also asked if this could possibly be a circulated proof, obviously meaning it would no longer be a "pretty" coin. It was a simple question I thought this site was made for people to help other people out. Guess ill try a different site. thanks anyways.
the answer you're looking for is: no. It's not impaired. It's a regular dime. An impaired proof will be immediately evident, and extremely easy to tell apart from any other dime.
the question is: what do you see in this coin that speaks "impaired proof"? If you tell us what you think, somebody can help educate on why that is or is not a signifier an impaired proof.
How did he or anyone insult you? Extremely thin skin, I re-read the post and there was no intent there to insult. good luck elsewhere.
If we deleted the sarcastic comments, [none of which are posted above] this site would only have 4 posts a month, and would be boring
Stop the snarky comments group. Posts removed but no infractions YET. If you want to be the first , continue. Jim
