For those members new to coin collecting, or those older members that started way before home computers were invented, ANA has videos online, for free, that many may find interesting. You need not sign up for one, unless you wish to participate live, but can simply find ones you like and watch them when you have the time. They are informative as well as educational. To participate in an upcoming course, go HERE. To search for classes from the pasts, go HERE. Or the archive HERE. Example class: Detection of Counterfeit Coins and Altered Coins And hundreds of other topics.
Thanks @Mountain Man ! The Penny class will be great for those into Lincoln's Cents. I know how you love them. I Definitely am interested in the Trade Dollar one though!! Edit: Already signed up for the Trade Dollar class. Anyone else interested??
I've always liked these videos. I especially like the fact that they are continuing to make more content.
Mountain Man, thank you for this gift. I have been a collector for more than 55 years, but I never stop learning. Just because of this I learned new things about the difference between Market Grading and Technical grading. I am sure I will learn more when time permits. Thank you again. James
Oh, I'm all in on the Trade Dollar talk, for sure! I only own one (ANACS EF-45), but would like to learn more about this series, and get at least one more decent raw example for my Dansco 7070 Type Set. Or, maybe I just liberate the one I have from it's plastic tomb and stick it in the album! Hmmm, decisions, decisions.
Thank you! That was a very nice thing for you to do this for us. But, I have certainly noticed you do a lot of nice things for others here.
There's a 2-hour Morgan dollar video in their collection that I did with Michael Fey in 2020. It's a very condensed version of the 22 hour Summer Seminar course.
