I bought one of these and had a loop affixed to it so my daughter's mother-in-law could wear it as a charm.

I love my fanam's they were my 1st 2 gold coins... a full fanam and a 1/10th fanam

Back then you had to be extra careful carrying those gold coins around, a stiff wind would blow them away

 

My understanding is that the 1/10th were commonly carried between cheek and gum possibly the full fanam as well hehe

Congrats of your first gold coin. I got my first when I was eight as a christmas present/ was hooked for life. Now I just surpassed 1100 AV coins/ 356 are AV Dukats....
