Do you ever daydream about where your well worn coinage might have spent their life. This silver dollar might have slid across many bar tops, used in daily commerce, or used in slot machines thousands of times in Vegas over the years.

Has a nice look. I like those old grey Morgans that did their time in commerce, just as much if not even more than the shiny Mint State specimens. There's just something about 'em...

When I see CC mints, I think of the miners down there. Silver mining around CC I hear

I was looking at the Red Book (dtd2021) and saw that 1884 S did not jump its value until it was Mint State. However, It looks like that if you need it to fill a hole, your coin is a real nice to your collection.

I like my first 1884 S given to me as a high school graduation gift. Probably saw a lot of bar counters and pockets through the years.

Also can't beat a nice AU example for my Morgan set though. VAM 8:

I often wonder of the coins and currency that have been through my hands have also been through my parents and siblings' hands. My parents and 6 siblings have passed, I am the last of my immediate family. Thanks for the pleasant memory @furham. All Morgans, in any condition, are collectable in my opinion.

It's what some of us call an "honest" coin, meaning it has served its purpose in life.
I think that coin was one I used in a Carson City slot machine. It looks very familiar to me. LOL

Yes! Now imagine, say for example, a Greek coin from the 4th century BC, and where THAT might have been in its lifetime, and you’ll understand why I also collect Ancients.

“Mind movies”, I call these little imaginative journeys.
