Only for photos, never for the coins themselves. ;)

I'd been using Photoshop, then when that went subscription-only I went to Elements. I had a mishap with the laptop where that was installed, and since then I've done so little image work that I've mostly just struggled through with Mac OS Preview or Gimp. (I shudder to think of anyone trying to learn Gimp without already knowing a good bit about image editing...)

When I get a new laptop, I'll revisit the issue.

Used to use PhotoScape when I used my desktop more, but it's apparently not available for Chromebook. Now I don't do much outside of my i-phone.

    I use https://pixlr.com/x/
It's free and no download required. You don't even need an account. It doesn't have all the tools a paid for program does, but it still has all the ones I would ever need for coins.

In addition to many of those already mentioned, I use the background removal app quite a bit.

I use Gimp also. I have to keep a YouTube tutorial on circle cropping in my favorites list, because there are so many steps. I've learned the basics to the program, the rest is above my paygrade.

I have stayed with Paint Shop Pro because I have used it for over 20 years. I would hate to learn a new software.
