Grades and TrueViews have been posted for my last submission to PCGS in early January. This submission was a mixed bag, including a cleaned, pitted coin submitted my mistake that straight graded, and a dipped and retoned coin without hairlines that received a puzzling "details" grade.

1866 Motto WB3 (R4) - with olive to loden green toning (TV needs further editing)

    1880 VF30 - a "barnacle" with some peripheral color

    Three more.

    A retoned 1845, PCGS EF40
    1845 WB4 PCGS EF40 TrueView.jpg
1876 WB12 EF40 - loden green with pink highlights, impossible to edit and get both colors correct on this TrueView.
    1876-CC WB12 PCGS EF40 TrueView2.jpg Here's an old scan that shows more accurate color. 1876-CC VF35 50C obverse.PNG 1876-CC VF35 50C reverse.PNG
1884 VF35 - a nicked up coin that I expected would net grade to VF30.

    Some problem coins.

I submitted this 1881 by mistake as it shows hairlines and some pitting near the foot and dress folds. I expected a details grade but it straight graded at F12.

This 1885 from Dick Osburn shows unusual beige and light blue toning. While I suspect it was dipped long ago and had retoned, I didn't see any hairlines to suggest it had been cleaned. Mr. Osburn believed this to be a particularly choice coin, yet PCGS graded it "VF details," so now I have a 'details' coin to complain about. I'll check it out when it returns, show it to some dealers to get their opinion, and possibly submit it again. Any opinions on its PCGS grade?

PCGS graded FR2 I liked the wear pattern and it was the right price so why not. E32676C5-0A7A-421A-B7DC-D877CA0608C3.jpeg 73DF69EF-1F50-4F60-AE13-A4F9799E1BCA.jpeg 73DF69EF-1F50-4F60-AE13-A4F9799E1BCA.jpeg

Three of my four Seated Liberty dollars. The fourth is a darkly toned NGC VF20 1871. I don't actively collect them, but every now and then I'll buy one because of their impressive size and the era they covered.

PCGS EF40 - apparently dipped and retoned.

This is one that might not make the cut for my NGC submission. I’ve cut back to 10 coins on 3 forms that will cost about $500 if they ship back all 3 at once. As usual, not the best pic but it is sitting on its flip, not my hand.

Two recent purchases (both seller's photos).
1876-CC WB2 (R3) Large CC - a nice, circulated cameo of a variety I wanted. I like "large CC" halves.
    1876-CC VG8 Obverse.png 1876-CC VG8 reverse.png

    PCGS VF35 1858-S WB2(R3) - replaces a corroded 58-S in my collection.

    1858-S WB2 PCGS VF35 obverse4.png 1858-S WB2 PCGS VF35 reverse.png

What the heck, I'll even add the corroded coin it replaced. It looks OK in my Dansco, but a closer look reveals considerable damage. At least I have a scan of it. Most of my collection is raw, unphotographed, or unscanned, which explains my 'happy' string of posts here after finally getting some of my better coins graded and TrueView photos taken.

I may submit it someday to PCGS to see if they'd straight-grade this coin. IMO, they seem to be tolerant of rim and other corrosion associated with dark toning.

I'll take your word on the "large CC" attribution, but the S mint-marks on those 1858s dwarf any I've seen outside of a war nickel...

The large S mintmark was used from 1855 to at least 1862. Yes, it is very oversized.

Yeah they used that big punch on many denominations including gold.

They’re not all pretty but this one came from my father in law in a small box of coins from his mother. Can’t remember if I posted this earlier but I don’t think so.
