I have all Jefferson nickels except 50d, almost all philadelphia buffalos. I'm way overdue for a 50d.

 

So I haven't posted anything here in a year or two at least. I still have been searching coins but I'm too lazy to post. I have also been metal detecting a lot more now, so there's no reason to CRH for silver coins anymore. I still get nickels as those are tricky to detect and quarters to look for W's and new ones.

Anyways, I got a box of pennies and a box of nickels today. I beat my previous record of 62 wheats in a single box with 72 today. Also got my third V nickel in the last seven weeks. (detected a 1906 7 weeks ago and a 1912 last week)

In the nickel picture attached, the top half is Philadelphia and the bottom half is Denver pre-60s. Also in there is a 1978s impaired proof and a 1958 dryer penny.

Got a Loomis nickel box, first in awhile, with boring results. Highlights were a 1943-P war nickel and two 2009-P. The early decade count revealed three from the 40s and five from the 50s.

Is it me or I've been seeing more magnetic coins in rolls lately?

 

$500 in CWR...that's the kiss of death. Whenever a teller reports a large amount of halfs like that (anything over $150), I always lower my request. Telltale sign of a dump.

 

Found a 1918S cent. My best Abe find to date.

 

I always thought anything close to 500 would be a dump. But since it was 200, and 300 I thought I was safe. No harm no foul... I would've regretted leaving them there!

 

I ALWAYS got a ton of canadians and/or magnetics. Funny how to coin rolling companies can pull silver... but not those!

All reverses except for 1 1970.

Anyone know how old these wrappers are? Seem to me to be original (non tampered with)

GF picks me up 2 rolls of quarters in a futile attempt at pulling a W.
So far I have 4 Bessie Coleman's but I haven't put one in the album. The rolls she gets me are all Edith Hawaii quarters, so I get one for my book. I had more looks at a W in my change from Walmart. 1 2019, 1 2020 both D's.
