Here's something I'm waiting to arrive in the mail. I'm curious if the coin has that slight rainbow hue to the obverse as shown in the photos.

    XF coin, I'd think.

Lovely look on it, I hope the color comes through!!

Thanks, I’m crossing my fingers! It’ll be a bit of a wait, but I’ll post follow-ups here when I get it in hand.

XF40. I'm not sure whether -details or straight graded. It appears to have been cleaned and there's a lot of surface chatter, though both are rather common on Seated dollars. I've definitely seen worse, and owned a straight graded ANACS AU50 that had a similar amount of chatter.

XF40. Ugly scratches on obv probably make it details.

I suspect the "rainbow" is an effect of the photo-editing. It looks like they've altered the contrast to make the image look sharper. I've seen it happen before, such as on this coin:

    Possibly, but hopefully not!

You might get lucky and the rainbow is actually there, like this one :)

Nice coin, details or not. The color may be a reflection from something in the room.

False, fake, or real it is a very nice looking XF coin in my opinion. The color toning appears to be moving outward to the entire coin. I like it and would like to see a re-post of the coin in the near future. Thanks for sharing, good luck.

Ch VF, Details for improper cleaning. It's got hairlines all over it.

I am so danged partial to the seated series and a seated dollar is a special coin. This is one of those coins that would have gotten me in trouble. I get so immersed in the piece that I overlook the potential problems and I too think is was improperly cleaned due to the scratches…. Otherwise, I would dial in an AU50…… See, I told you I would get in trouble with this one!
