Can you post pictures of it? Front and back.

ANACS, 5 coin minimum. About $14.00 each, plus shipping and insurance.

Another way to get coins graded is to go through a dealer.

I have a dealer acct with NGC. I'd have to check since lately I have just done foreign coins but it's approx. $14 plus $15 for attribution and shipping both ways. Most dealers will charge you more to send your coin in so they make a profit doing it so you need to find a dealer in here that will piggy back with some they are sending in.

Do either NGC or PCGS allow you to submit coins at Coin Shows?

ANACS is having a sale. I got the news first since I have done business with them before. They will announce it to the public soon. You get a minimum order of 5 coins for $10.00 each for grading and a slab. You can add two more coins for free. so that is 7 coins for $50.00. Error attribution is $7 more per coin. Conservation is $29.00 per lot of coins if you want it. You can add more than 7 for $10.00 each grading fee.

The first thing you should ask yourself is why you want to get it certified. If that's how you prefer for your own collection, end of story. However, if because you're thinking of selling it or simply assume it "needs" to be, it's worth digging a little deeper. Is the coin problem free and if so, what realistic grade range is or should be expected? Unless to a certain level, it may not be in your best interest to submit it, plus with an easily identifiable variety such as this, certification isn't always necessary, especially once you factor in expenses and time.

    Photos are a great idea!

At this point, if you don't mind a few old fogies offering their opinions that is, perhaps we can help you figure out if there's any real upside to having it certified. Of course it's fine if you just want it slabbed, but there's no harm in getting a few extra pairs of eyes on a coin before spending your money.

I will look forward to the photos, young sir!

Cool find. I wouldn't bother with getting slabbed but that's just my opinion. You do what makes you happy.
