1879 CC Morgan VAM

I’m sitting around with a little free time so I thought I would go through some Morgan and Peace dollars I have sitting around. VAM world is great but my skills are lacking. This seems like VAM3, the large CC over small CC but there doesn’t seem to be any doubling on the date. So please chime in and tell me what I’m missing.

I can see the doubling on the date,
Between the 2 photos I would say it is there.
A little worn, can you find the markers on the reverse?

I'm guessing the doubling on the date is hidden by dirt and wear. Looks like VAM 3.

 

The "G" in God is filled in so I would say it has to be VAM-3 although I don't see any doubling on the date either.

 

Don’t see the die gouges and not sure where the other marker is supposed to be

 

VAM 3A is a die stage of VAM 3. Not all have the gouge through the A.
