1969D penny I'm unsure looks like someone used a rolling pin!

    1969D penny I'm unsure looks like someone used a rolling pin!

    Could have been used to level a table.
    It is still a common use for the common cent.

    If there is any indication of displaced metal, such as your coin shows, then it is damage.

    You can see displaced metal on both sides of that groove. That’s damaged.
