1855 large cent

It might make AU.
I don't see it as cleaned, at least not for quite a while.
The worst part is the weak date echoed by some weakness in the same area on the reverse.

 

I think its an N-7 which is known for a weak date,

2.50 is not realistic for that coin.

 

It is for me.

 

a cull with virtually no details sells for more than that.

 

If it's your's now Congradulations! That is a very nice coin for the money. I suspect the actual color is darker than that photo.
