I did not expect a picture of an Athens tet on strawberries, but I love it! You just made my day, my friend .
Took a break from putting around the house and am fascinated by other interests that have percolated into this the thread. Below is my purchase from yesterday. I had been looking for an Egyptian Tet and encountered this Probus at one of the last remaining bricks and mortar coin dealers in my area.
This promises to become one of the longest thread in Ancients Forum history! Here is my family at Dillon Beach, CA, a favorite gathering spot for more than 50 years. My younger daughter Marissa and I are in the upper right. And any excuse to post my favorite coin again!
Cool posts guys! I'm curious as to how @Brian Bucklan looks like. He's one longtime coin-friend I've yet to see.
This thread was about getting to know each other better. Well, I showed a picture, I showed a coin, and I shared one my other hobbies, guns. It may come as a surprise to some of you, but some of us have more than one hobby. I also collect fountain pens, and love reading, so in addition to a folder full of coins, and a safe full of guns, I have a display case full of fountain pens, and a library full of books. We are all more than just this hobby of coin collecting. Please don't get political over my hobbies. I don't want to get into a discussion about my rights to own or enjoy multiple fountain pens.
