I curse the sellers on this channel any time I stop in for a few minutes. How they can spout some of their comments with a straight face is beyond me. Next generation of politicians I'm thinking. However, it still comes down to uninformed people making these purchases. EDUCATE yourselves people!

$399 for 10 BU Peace dollars? How is that getting robbed? Any dealer would ask for $30 or so for one of those. They also throw in those 8 silver certs, at $3 each, thats's $324. Air time is not cheap. Not a great deal, but I've seen much worse.

I find CV to be the best coin show on tv. Some of their coins were actually priced below ebay.

They were selling the Australian Wedge Tailed Eagle proof for $99 I think. Good luck finding that coin below $150 today.

I like the one where they are selling Pearl Harbor commemoratives with Queen Elizabeth on them.

My wife will watch that call me & ask if it's a good price for a certain coin. I dont watch it but sometimes when she asks it really not a bad price but most of the time it's far out there.

  17. Getting robbed is when you spend $600.00 for "first day of iss ue" on the gold Mercury dime, When it sold out on the FIRST DAY IT WAS ISSUED. 45 minutes it was sold out. Regardless that the mint has a little over 8,000 returned, And they still haven't decided how to release them. The best deal on those who bought was to leave them in OGP for $209.95 w/ shipping. Don't spend $600.00 for a freakin LABEL...

They say "circulated condition" but the picture shows something much different.

    Randy_K Love them coins...

The prices include the cost of running the studio & personnel, the cost of carriage on terrestrial, cable & satellite broadcasters and profit. It's just like those print ads pitching average grade coins at premium prices. We know how to grade and price a coin but "Joe-six-pack" doesn't, however, he has heard on the TV news that (some) old coins are valuable - he may miss that "some" part - and thinks this stuff is a good investment. Obviously, they wouldn't stay in business long if they depended on us to be buyers!
