salary range

the mint salary ranges from $68k to over $100k. i love those jobs. but they were located at washington dc or philadelphia.

i wish i get a job from the u s mint dealing with finished products ready to ship it out. then i can see, touch, and fell the beauty of all new coins. also i might able to buy direct with my chooses. hopefully all ms-70.

 

I dunno. If you got a job at the mint, it would be kind of like drinking from a firehose. So many coins, so little time....

You would probably turn into a fanatical stamp collector!!!!!

Don't Mint employees have to pass through metal detectors when they leave at night?

I have a video that was on the History channel showing how they make the American Eagle coins at West Point. It's fascinating to watch them bundle up several feet of gold or platinum webbing after they punch out the planchets. They even recycle the floor sweepings.

 

Im not sure if I would want to be strip searched every day...lol

 

They don't exactly list the qualifications or education requirements you need.

Not that i want one of the jobs because i'm not willing to relocate, but i was just curious about sending them my resume and see if they reply.

I'm an engineer with electronic controls experience, so a couple of those jobs looked like i could qualify for them.

 

Hmmm....there's some good jobs with stong pay for those with business backgrounds. I'm only two hours from DC now.

the mint should add more jobs or positions as follows:

persons inspect error coins.
fast and accurate delivery
wear hand gloves to prevent fingerprint
insert coins orderly and neatly to prevent loose or damaged to a coin
get right accounting personnel to check orders correctly.
do not over react to your website saying "product not available" and then open for sale again.

well, can you add more?.

job that i want

if the mint offer me a job. i like to do the job dealing in finishing & packaging. so that i can feel all new coins coming out. i don't care they pay me low. it is also good if they offer cheaper price for employees. and every time i buy. first day issue. gem brilliant proof and unc. possibly all ms-70 and proof-70. that is my imagination only.
