More, I missed some images. In fact there are some more bi-metall coins. See the official site of Bank of Russia http://www.cbr.ru/ Just switch to English.

Thanks coopra - I do have a batch of Russian bimetal coins too. There is also the new series of the Russian Federation, which will be another pain to collect: (I think it's about 50+ coins released)

Here are some of the better ones that I like:

And of course, the city that Coopra is in:

Russia has also minted commemorative coins in bimetal of gold and silver, just like China.

    I have a 1985 500 Lire Bimetallic (Km#:111)

[IMG] Alternate smooth and Ruled border

    Diameter: 25,8 mm
Metals: inner side: Bronzital = Bronze alloy
    Outside: Acmonital
    Weight: 6,8 g

The 500 Lira was the first bimetal coin minted in the world.
It is the world’s first coin to be issued with Braille on the reverse!

Well, definitely the first bimetallic "mass circulation" coin. It was first issued in 1982.

Coopra, how did you manage to find a Zimbabwean 2002 $5 coin,& in Unc.? I've got a well-circulated 2001 of the same coin.It is very difficult to find this coin.At the same time I bought my $5 coin, there was a $2 coin, which I thought was the 1997,so I flipped it over & got a real surprise - it was the 2001 one!

Has anyone bought the Somaliland 400/- bimetal medal-coins that depict Yasser Arafat & Yitzak Rabin on them? They came out in 2005,but aren't listed in Krause.

    Aidan.

Ah, I have two of them in my wallet. Well circulated though. :) Most of what one comes across here has that "old" (pre-2007) map on the common side, but once in a while I also see the new one ...

I have a bunch of these (there's more than I have, and I lost count as to how many different ones I have), but they commemorate the Mexican states. Here's my favorite ones, off the top of my head...

2005 Mexico $100 Pesos Aguascalientes Monuments & 2005 Mexico $100 Pesos Don Quijote Proof
