The reverses are alright, but I don't like either portrait. It looks like a blob of silver not well-designed, IMHO.
The portrait of the King on the new coins was sulpted by Martin Jennings from an official portrait of the king. There is no AI involved when a sculptor uses an official portrait to create their work.
Great Britain's coining policy is to reverse the direction the faces are pointing when the portraits are changed. The only exception that I know of is Edward VIII. He demanded that he face the same direction as his predecessor (George V). He wanted his "good side" showing. He was King (if only for less than a year) so he had his way.
Didn't realize that until after I posted. Hard to take pictures they were so shiny. Immediately upon receiving them, I did a distilled water rinse, an acetone rinse and a final distilled water rinse before encapsulating.
