My last one for the day. The mark on the reverse is just that a mark. It's not into the surface at all. What do you think.
Nice looking coin. Halfway decent strike for a date known for awful strikes. Clean obverse. Too bad about the ding on the reverse. To me, that prevents a gem grade, as it is prominent. I will go 64.
This isn't my series by a long shot, but if it has enough luster that seems to be the key for a 65 or better grade.
It looks dull as far as luster. The obv is very nice contact mark wise. The reverse not that nice. From the photo not something I would be interested in. I go for coins that are PQ. Looks overly dipped. The reverse spot or whatever - yuck, not a coin would want invest in. People on bourse these days very picky - they want material wellstruck with nice or super cartwheel luster solid for the grade no dark spots or ugly dark toning.
